We provide a free six page guide book.  Part of the book is a map of buildings that are on the tour. Each building is numbered on the map.

There is a poster in the window of each building. The poster narrative is the building's history, when it was built and some of the businesses that used to be in the building. There is also information about the current business. Vintage and current photographs help tell the story.

This tour takes place every fall. There is no group following a guide, instead people take the tour using a free guide book and map to view posters in building windows. The Sumner Historical Society and the Sumner Main Street Association  work  together to add more buildings to the tour every year.
